The differences that matter.
Thumbnails: photobooth versus worker pool
In Orynt3D you create thumbnails manually: open a model in the previewer, frame it, capture. Fine for a curated shelf; a slog for ten thousand files. Meshory renders every STL, 3MF, OBJ and FBX automatically in a background worker pool, including the models inside ZIP, RAR and 7Z archives, so the whole library is visual from the first scan.
Duplicates: not offered versus built in
Orynt3D has no duplicate detection; its own alternatives page credits that feature to other tools. Meshory fingerprints every model by content and geometry, grouping identical copies (renamed or re-exported) across folders, drives and NAS in a dedicated Duplicates view. That's the years-of-collecting problem that hits mini collectors hardest.
Search: boolean logic versus meaning
Orynt3D's search is genuinely strong (full boolean logic, wildcards, saved searches), but it can only match metadata you typed in yourself. Meshory searches names, paths and tags as you type, and with AI tagging enabled it finds models by what they are (“armored knight bust”), because every model gets a generated description.
Momentum
