If Microsoft Edge says the file "isn't commonly downloaded", it hasn't saved the installer yet: in its downloads panel, click … → Keep, then Show more → Keep anyway. SmartScreen may then warn you the first time you run the installer. Click More info → Run anyway. If nothing happens at all, SmartScreen blocked it without a warning: unblock the file and run it again. Code signing is on the roadmap, so verify your download against the checksums below in the meantime.
Antivirus tools such as McAfee may go further and quarantine the installer outright. That is a false positive: these engines weigh how widely a file has already been run, and a brand-new unsigned build starts at zero. How to verify and restore it.
Compare the checksum against your download, or open the VirusTotal report to see what every major antivirus engine makes of the exact file we published. You can also upload the installer to VirusTotal yourself if you would rather not take our word for any of it.
