v1.5.0Aug 4, 2026
Duplicate detection, graphics settings, and performance improvements
New
Manual duplicate detection. Meshory can now scan your library for duplicate files and let you review the matches before deciding what to do with them.
Slicer detection list. Settings → Slicer now lists the slicers Meshory found on your computer, and you can hide any you don't want to see.
Graphics mode setting. The old on/off hardware acceleration switch in Settings is now a graphics mode selector, and GPU details are included when you collect diagnostics.
Scan pause and resume. You can now pause a scan and resume it later, and turn individual sources on or off without removing them.
Startup and crash status. Meshory now shows the engine's status while starting up and lets you know if it's recovering from a previous crash.
Improved
Faster search. Searching your library, including wildcard-style queries, is noticeably faster thanks to a new search index.
Faster library browsing. Large libraries load their asset grid in pages instead of all at once, so browsing feels snappier.
Faster folder view. Folder lists open faster, especially in libraries with lots of folders.
Faster rescans. Re-scanning your library after the first pass reuses cached checks and batches writes, so it finishes quicker.
First-scan progress. The setup bar during your first scan now shows real progress for each phase instead of a generic indicator.
AI tag search updates. AI-tagging search results now appear as each item finishes, instead of waiting for a whole batch.
Screen reader labels. Filter buttons, view-mode toggles, file-type chip dismiss buttons, and the asset details panel now have proper labels for screen readers.
Fixed
Advanced file filters. Checking multiple file types in the advanced filters only applied the first one; now all of them are used.
Empty filter option. The 'Project Files' filter didn't actually filter anything, so it's been removed.
Missing thumbnails on quit. Closing the app while thumbnails were still being generated could leave some of them unsaved.
Previews at launch. Thumbnails and model previews could occasionally fail to load right after starting the app.
Network drive scan errors. Scanning a folder on a network drive that failed showed a misleading error instead of the real cause.
Error floods on low resources. Scanning on a system that ran low on file handles could flood you with error messages instead of failing gracefully.
Refetching on refocus. Switching back to Meshory from another app could trigger repeated, unnecessary reloading.
Throttling message. Being rate-limited showed a message telling you to contact support instead of just to wait and try again.
Drag-select drift. The drag-select rectangle could get out of sync while selecting items; selection now stays accurate.
Blurry 3D previews after moving windows. Moving Meshory to a monitor with different scaling, or changing your display settings, could leave the 3D viewer blurry or showing faint ghosting around models.
v1.4.0Aug 1, 2026
Custom thumbnails, archive rollups, and source management
New
Custom thumbnails. You can now pick a different thumbnail for any model, including files inside an archive, choosing between automatic detection, a fresh 3D render, or your own uploaded image. A new dialog and right-click menu let you switch it, with tooltips explaining each option. Duplicate views also pick up your custom thumbnail choices automatically.
Archive rollups. Fully unpacked zip files now appear as a single rollup card, multi-part archives merge into one card per folder, and you can expand a rollup to see each file's path, with duplicate filters, sorting, and folder reveal all working correctly on rollup cards.
Slicer detection for 3MF files. The app now classifies Cura and Prusa-lineage 3MF files by their metadata, and recognizes Creality Print by name.
Hardware acceleration toggle. Settings → Privacy has a new switch to disable hardware acceleration.
Safer source removal. Removing a library source now asks for confirmation and can be triggered by right-clicking the source in the sidebar, and any scan already running for that source is canceled.
New source auto-scroll. Adding a source in the sidebar now scrolls straight to it instead of leaving you to find it.
Source removal fallback. If the source you were viewing gets removed, the library now falls back to showing All models instead of an empty view.
General settings section. Settings now has a General section, and interactive elements across the app show a consistent pointer cursor.
Guided setup during first scan. When your library is empty and a scan is populating it, the app now shows a setup screen instead of a blank view.
Fixed
Beta update channel. Beta users could be offered an older stable release instead of the newest build.
Duplicates archive breadcrumb. Opening an archive from the Duplicates page and navigating back no longer dropped you somewhere else.
Library empty state centering. The empty-library message was off-center in the content area.
Database error details. The database error window's expanded technical details could clip instead of scrolling, and could hide the action buttons.
Scan progress counter. The files-found counter during a scan could reset if you switched away and back mid-scan.
Home navigation from viewer. Clicking Home from the model viewer now returns you to the source you were browsing instead of somewhere else.
Library page height. The library page didn't fill the full window height, leaving a gap below it.
Mac update restart button. On Mac, the Restart Now button after an update check did nothing, and the Settings update check could flicker.
Duplicates counters and pagination. Duplicate counts could be inaccurate and the pagination controls looked broken.
Duplicates page navigation. The Duplicates page had issues with pagination scrolling, opening zip files, and the viewer's breadcrumb trail.
Orca 3MF misidentification. 3MF files from Orca-family slicers were incorrectly labeled as Bambu Studio.
v1.3.0Jul 31, 2026
Security update, folder exclusions, and license info
Security
Runtime security upgrade. The app's underlying runtime (Electron/Chromium) jumped several major versions, picking up the upstream security patches published since our last runtime update, and a number of third-party libraries moved to their patched releases. There's nothing to configure: updating is the fix.
New
Excluded folders view. A new toggle lets you see folders you've excluded from your library, shown as ghost cards in the grid and sidebar. Right-click a ghost folder to bring it back, with a confirmation dialog you can turn off if you don't need it. Folders removed from disk clear themselves away automatically, while exclusions on offline network drives stick around until you're back online.
Check for updates. A Check for Updates… item is now in the Help menu (and the app menu on macOS) so you can look for a new version anytime.
License purchase order number. Your license's purchase-order number now shows up in the About window, and it's filled in automatically for existing licenses.
Breadcrumb overflow menu. Long folder paths now collapse into an overflow menu instead of stretching across the toolbar.
AI re-run confirmation. Re-running AI tagging from the AI menu when nothing is pending now asks you to confirm first, with clearer wording about what will happen.
Google Drive detection. Meshory now recognizes Google Drive's mounted drive letter as a cloud source.
Keep-recommended toggle. The Keep-recommended button now switches to Unselect once you've applied it, so you can tell at a glance what's been done.
Clearable format filter. The format filter can now be cleared directly from the active-filters row.
Network drive deletion warning. Deleting duplicate files on a network drive now warns you up front before it happens.
Improved
AI tagging file limit. AI tagging no longer stops after a fixed 200-file cap. The limit now scales to what your library can handle.
Fixed
Library sort and filter reset. Your library sort order and format filter now stay put after you leave and come back to the page.
Dropdown cursor. Dropdown menu items now show a pointer cursor when you hover over them.
Toolbar control heights. Controls in the library toolbar are now a consistent height instead of varying in size.
Search box width. The search box now stretches to fill the free space in the toolbar instead of staying narrow.
File size units. File sizes now match the units your operating system's file manager uses.
Startup error details. The technical details on startup-error screens are now readable, copyable, and actually collapse when you click to hide them.
License activation failures. License activation now goes through the app's normal network connection and logs the cause when it can't complete.
Windows installer freeze. The installer no longer gets stuck in a loop when Windows asks for elevated permissions.
Duplicate deletion glitches. Duplicate detection could fail when deleting files over a network SMB share or when working with very large libraries.
AI tagging compatibility. AI tagging now works with AI providers that require strict structured output, instead of failing on them.
3MF loading crashes. Large 3MF files with big model data no longer fail to load on machines with less RAM; the limit now adjusts based on your available memory.
v1.2.3Jul 30, 2026
Fixes for loading large model files
Fixed
Large file loading on low-memory computers. Opening large text-format model files on computers with limited memory could cause the app to slow down or freeze.
Overlapping heavy file loads. Loading more than one large model file at the same time could overload memory instead of handling them one at a time.
v1.2.2Jul 30, 2026
Import, thumbnail, and installer fixes
Improved
Faster large-file queue. Big files now start processing as soon as they're added, so the heavy-duty queue doesn't sit idle waiting on them.
Fixed
Windows installer conflicts. Leftover copies of Meshory running in the background no longer block installing an update on Windows.
Duplicate zip entries. Model archives with a repeated file path inside them now import correctly instead of failing to index.
Large file processing bottleneck. Importing one very large file no longer holds up the processing of smaller files at the same time.
3MF misclassified as oversized. 3MF files are no longer mistakenly treated as oversized jobs, so they process at their normal speed.
Stuck thumbnails. Thumbnails that kept timing out now finish generating instead of staying blank.
Slow app quit. Closing Meshory no longer waits on background thumbnail generation to finish first.
v1.2.1Jul 29, 2026
Stability, scanning, and thumbnail fixes
New
Crash Loop Protection. If a specific model file kept crashing Meshory on launch, the app now remembers that file and skips it instead of crashing again.
Single Instance Lock. Meshory now prevents more than one copy of the app from running at the same time.
Scan Failure Reports. When a library scan can't process a file, Meshory now tells you which file failed instead of failing silently.
Fixed
Crashes on Complex Models. Opening very large or complex 3D files, including multi-color paint models, no longer crashes the app because parsing is now limited by the file's real cost before it starts.
Repeated Full Scans. Library scans no longer trigger a full rescan more than once per app launch.
Flat View Scope. Flat view now respects the folder you're browsing instead of showing files from outside it, and the on-screen labels match this scope.
Thumbnail Failures. Thumbnails that fail to generate now show as unrenderable instead of appearing stuck or broken.
FBX Thumbnails. FBX model files that previously couldn't produce a preview thumbnail now generate one correctly.
Hidden Scan Errors. If Meshory couldn't read a folder's last-modified date, it used to fail silently; it now reports the problem instead.
v1.2.0Jul 29, 2026
Scan filtering and duplicate-scan fixes
New
Indexing include patterns. You can now add include patterns that control only what gets indexed, without changing other scan behavior.
File type whitelist. Meshory now scans and indexes only recognized model and archive file types, using a curated list, in both full scans and quick incremental checks.
Resync confirmation. If you start a resync while a duplicate comparison is still running, Meshory now asks you to confirm before interrupting it.
Improved
Sequential source syncing. Only one source folder syncs at a time, including quick sweeps and full scans, sources waiting their turn now show a queued badge, and the Duplicates page updates once per scan instead of continuously.
Default scan excludes. .dll files are now excluded from scans by default.
Exclude list responsiveness. Removing a folder exclude now updates the list immediately, and excludes can no longer be toggled while a sync is running.
Rename during sync. Renaming a source is disabled while it's syncing, and a tooltip now explains why greyed-out controls are unavailable.
Fixed
Zip exclude patterns. Files inside zip archives that matched an exclude pattern were still being pulled out and added to your library.
Leftover folder excludes. Removing a source used to leave its folder-level excludes behind instead of clearing them.
Duplicate count accuracy. The duplicates count could include file types other than models and archives.
Duplicates banner accuracy. The paused banner and the scan name shown on the Duplicates page didn't always match what was actually happening.
Progress labeling. Thumbnail generation progress sometimes showed up labeled as duplicate hashing.
Stop and Pause reliability. The Pause button could disappear during certain scan phases, and Stop didn't always halt thumbnail generation or in-progress file reads; both controls now work through every phase.
v1.1.0Jul 28, 2026
Improved scanning, folder exclusion, and crash fixes
New
Folder exclusion command. You can now right-click any folder in your library and choose "Exclude from library" to keep it out of scans.
Improved
Cleaner default scans. The default library scan now automatically skips common installer clutter so it doesn't show up as models.
Fixed
Thumbnail generation crashes. Generating thumbnails for a large batch of files could use up too much memory and crash the app; this no longer happens.
Stuck parses after crashes. If a model file's parsing was forcibly stopped by the system, it could get left in a broken, unresolved state instead of recovering cleanly.
Large folder crashes. Watching very large local folders for changes could run the app out of memory and crash it; this no longer happens.
v1.0.0Jul 28, 2026
Our public 1.0, with file and folder renaming
New
Meshory 1.0. Today is Meshory's public launch, and this is the first 1.0 release.
Rename files and folders. Rename any model or folder straight from its right-click menu. Meshory renames it on disk and updates your library in one step, so the two can't drift apart, and a folder rename carries everything inside it along. The dialog checks the name as you type, rejects punctuation Windows file systems won't accept, and refuses a name that would land on top of an existing file.
A reminder that renames touch your files. The rename dialog spells out that it renames the real file on disk, not just the library entry. Dismiss it for good from the dialog itself or from Settings → Sources once you'd rather not see it.
Improved
Diagnostics that cover crashes. If Meshory crashes or fails to start, what went wrong is now written to the log file, so Collect Diagnostics gives us something to work with instead of an empty report.
Fixed
Repeated scans during bulk copies. Copying a batch of files into a watched folder kicked off a separate library scan for every single file. Those sweeps are now paced, so a big copy settles down instead of thrashing.
Network drives on Linux and Windows. Meshory only recognized network and NAS locations on macOS, so the same library on Linux or Windows was treated as a local drive. It now gets the network-friendly handling it should have had all along.
Ubuntu 24.04 startup. The Linux AppImage now launches correctly on Ubuntu 24.04.
Context menu hover. The highlight on a card no longer disappears while its right-click menu is open.
v0.7.0Jul 23, 2026
Smarter duplicate detection and custom slicers
New
Duplicate detection 2.0. Meshory now finds exact and likely-duplicate models, lets you review matches side by side, ignore false positives, and safely trash the extras.
Custom slicer support. Add your own slicers with custom launch arguments, and Meshory will ask before opening a model in a different slicer than the one it was created with.
Diagnostics collector. Grab a redacted diagnostics bundle from Settings > Privacy or the Help menu to share when you need support.
Created-with info. Asset details now show which slicer a 3MF file was originally created with.
Thumbnail quick look. Hover a thumbnail for a quick preview popover without opening the full 3D viewer.
Reveal in Finder. Right-click a folder in the sidebar to reveal it in Finder.
Zip contents in flat view. Filtering by file format can now expand zip archives to show the individual models inside.
Improved
Safer database updates. Meshory now backs up your library database before applying updates and shows a clear recovery screen if something goes wrong at startup.
Faster, resumable scanning. Hashing during scans now runs in timed batches that resume automatically, with a progress bar, time estimate, and a pause button.
Clearer mismatch warnings. The DIFFERS badge now points at the value that's actually different and explains what it's being compared against.
Snappier duplicates page. The duplicates list loads faster and uses less memory, even with large libraries.
Fixed
Crashes on huge files. Fixed crashes when opening very large FBX files or 3D-printing files with extremely dense meshes.
Duplicate list glitches. Duplicate counts now update live during scans, filenames no longer get cut off, and the list uses the full window width.
Offline network shares. Network drives that were unmounted at startup now correctly show as offline instead of getting stuck.
v0.6.1Jul 20, 2026
Update check fix
Fixed
Stale update checks. The app now checks for updates again when you reopen the window if the last check was too old.
v0.6.0Jul 20, 2026
Library interface improvements
New
Format filter dropdown. You can now filter your library by file format using a new dropdown menu.
Collapsible navigation panel. The sidebar navigation can now be collapsed to give you more screen space.
Synced folder tree. The folder tree now stays in sync with what you're viewing in the library.
Sticky toolbar. The toolbar now stays visible at the top while you scroll through your library.
Subtree item counts. Folders in the tree now show how many models are inside them, including subfolders.
v0.5.1Jul 20, 2026
A friendlier update experience
New
What's new, in-app. After each update Meshory shows a short, readable summary of what changed, instead of commit logs.
Release history page. A new What's new page in the sidebar keeps the full release timeline, alongside your update settings.
Update-ready notification. When an update finishes downloading, a small notification offers to restart now or later.
Settings shortcuts. Cmd+, (Ctrl+, on Windows and Linux) opens Settings, and Escape closes them.
Improved
Clearer update checks. Checking for updates now shows its progress and confirms when you're already on the latest version.
Settings order. Settings now opens on Sources, with License alongside Privacy.
v0.5.0Jul 20, 2026
Onboarding, FBX support, and settings redesign
New
First-run onboarding. New installs now walk you through picking your model folders, adding a license, and enabling analytics.
FBX file support. FBX models now get automatic thumbnails and show up in the library format filter and viewer.
OBJ thumbnails. OBJ files now generate preview thumbnails automatically.
Browse inside zip archives. Files packed inside a zip now appear as their own cards in the library and search results.
Open in another slicer. You can now send a file to a slicer other than your default one.
Settings redesign. Settings now open full-window with dedicated panels for license, sources, privacy, scanning, slicers, storage, and AI tagging.
Storage breakdown. Settings now shows how much space your database, extracted archives, and app caches are using.
Automatic updates. Meshory can now check for and install updates on its own, with a changelog shown after each update.
Snapmaker Orca detection. Meshory now recognizes the Snapmaker Orca slicer automatically.
Flexible licensing. Licenses are no longer tied to a single device, so there's no need to deactivate before moving to a new machine.
Early license renewal. You can swap in a new key ahead of time for licenses with an expiration date.
Improved
Smarter window sizing. Meshory remembers your window size and position, and now has a sensible minimum size so it won't feel cramped.
Responsive toolbar. The library toolbar now adapts to narrow windows by collapsing controls into a slimmer layout.
Search stays put. Your search text now stays in the box when you navigate back to the library.
More sort options. The library toolbar now offers six sorting options with clear ascending or descending directions.
Faster search typing. Typing in the search box no longer lags while your library is being enriched.
Clearer license expiry. The license panel now shows expiry dates and a countdown banner as your license nears its end.
Fixed
Sort now works. Sorting by date or size now actually reorders your library as expected.
Folder search matches. Searching now correctly surfaces folders that match your search text.
Zip textures fixed. FBX textures packed inside zip archives now load correctly instead of showing missing textures.
Cleaner texture maps. Displacement maps are now handled properly and only matching texture files are used.
Archive file trash fix. Deleting a single file from inside an archive no longer causes errors.
License key input. The license key field now only accepts the correct 28-character format.
v0.4.1Jul 12, 2026
Versioned downloads, license and about info
New
Versioned Download Filenames. Files you download now include the app version in their filename so you can tell versions apart.
License Menu Added. You can now view the app's license information from a new menu.
About Panel Added. A new About panel shows information about the app.
v0.4.0Jul 12, 2026
AI tagging, licensing, and navigation updates

Auto-accepted tags. AI-suggested tags with high confidence are added automatically, so you only need to review the uncertain ones.
Breadcrumb navigation. Asset pages now show a breadcrumb trail, including Collections and Favorites, instead of a single back button.
Thumbnail option for AI. You can choose whether to send thumbnails to the AI tagger from the AI menu or Settings.
Vision-based tagging. AI tagging can now look at model thumbnails, not just filenames, when suggesting tags.
Smarter search. Search now combines exact keyword matches with meaning-based matches for better results.
Remove tags easily. You can now remove a tag directly from an asset.
Unified tag view. Accepted tags and pending AI suggestions now appear together in one place on the asset page.
License activation added. Meshory now includes a license activation dialog, a trial status banner, and a license card in Settings.
Improved
Faster library scanning. Scanning your library folders is noticeably faster, especially for large collections.
Faster folder updates. Changes to watched folders now refresh just the affected items instead of rescanning your whole library.
Fixed
Search stays in folder. Search results are now scoped to the folder you're browsing instead of your whole library.
Startup crash fixed. Fixed a crash that could happen when launching the app.
AI menu no longer jumps. The AI menu no longer resizes or reflows when you toggle thumbnails on or off.
Buy button link fixed. The buy button now correctly opens the pricing page on meshory.com.
Cleaner app icon. The app icon in Finder and Spotlight looks cleaner at small sizes.
License activation fixes. Fixed several issues in the license purchase and activation flow.
v0.3.0Jul 8, 2026
