3MF converter, Rhino files, and tar archives

Tools, new in the sidebar, opens on a converter that moves a Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, Snapmaker Orca or Creality Print project to one of the others as a new 3MF. Every plate lands in the one file, painted colors map to the filaments you pick, and the printer, material and print settings come from profiles bundled with Meshory or from the ones installed with your slicer, your own presets included. The converted file saves beside the original by default, never overwrites anything, and opens in the destination slicer with one click.
Profile library.
Also under Tools: a read-only view of the printer, filament and process presets installed with your slicers, searchable by printer, material or brand, with a button that opens the converter on them.
Rhino 3DM files.
Rhino .3dm files show up in the library with a thumbnail and open in the 3D viewer, drawn from the render meshes saved in the file, loose or inside an archive. A surface saved without a mesh is called out instead of skipped silently, and 3DM has its own entry in the format control.
Tar archives.
TAR, TAR.GZ and TGZ archives are read in place like ZIP, RAR and 7Z: browse inside, preview the models, and count them in duplicate detection. Very large tar files, and tar files with data appended after the archive, open too.
SVG cut files.
SVG files get a thumbnail of the artwork and a full-size preview on a white page, sized to the drawing itself, including files exported from Illustrator and hairline-only cut files. SVG also has its own cell in the format control.
Text files and archived PDFs.
Open a TXT readme in the app, loose or inside an archive, and open the PDF manuals packed inside archives in the built-in viewer.
Drag an archive to your slicer.
An archive card in the library drags into a slicer like a model does and carries the sliceable models inside it, in the order the archive browser lists them. Rest the pointer on the card for a moment before you drag so Meshory can unpack the models first; a quick grab still works and waits for the unpacking. One drag carries at most 50 models out of archives and a fifth of the extracted-archive limit in Settings → Storage, held between 256 MB and 2 GB, and the setting now shows that allowance beside the limit. The notice counts what went and what stayed inside, models you picked yourself never count against either limit, and a model picked on its own and again through its archive is carried once. An archive with nothing a slicer can open says so, and if the models are still unpacking when the gesture ends the notice asks you to drag again.
Library scope.
The format control in the toolbar now says what the grid shows: All, Models, STL, 3MF, SVG, or more, where the remaining model formats, the archive formats and the kinds Images, Documents and Archives live. Flat view still starts on Models, so a pack folder does not open as a photo dump, and pictures, readmes and archives are one click away rather than hidden. The Advanced filters popover is retired; what it did that worked lives in that control.
Collections page.
Browse collections as a wide list or a grid of cards, with search, filters and sort. Add a folder to a collection from the sidebar tree, fill a collection straight from the Collections page with a picker that keeps your picks as you move between folders, and take items out with an explicit Remove from collection. Move to Trash points you there when removing is what you meant.
Duplicate detection.
When every model in a Needs review group has exactly the same triangles and only its position changed, the group is labeled 'Same triangles, moved', which is how a slicer project saved from an STL usually shows up. When a group is one model saved as different slicer projects, Meshory says what differs. Files too large to compare by shape are listed as a note.
Colored OBJ thumbnails.
OBJ thumbnails and previews take their colors from the .mtl beside the file, inside archives too, and OBJ files up to the 500 MB render limit now get a thumbnail.
Faster network drives.
Scanning and tagging on a NAS run faster: Meshory issues far more file requests in parallel than before (the old ceiling was four at a time), and the tagging pass skips the paint scan where paint cannot exist. On one library of about 1,800 3MF files on a wired NAS, skipping that scan took a tagging pass from 220 to 96 seconds.
Drag out of an archive's own view.
Dragging a model into your slicer or another app worked from the library grid but not from inside an archive, which is the view that shows what a bundle holds. It works there now. Encrypted entries and archives nested inside archives stay undraggable.
Image preview.
Zoom an image preview with the mouse wheel. The preview has one close button, not two.
New mark and icons.
The app icon and logo are the new Field mark, and Windows and Linux use a properly sized icon at every resolution.
Library size in usage statistics.
Anonymous usage statistics now include your library's size as a range, such as 1,000 to 5,000 models, at most once a day. Share anonymous usage data in Settings → Privacy switches it off along with the rest.
Large STEP files.
Very large STEP files open in the viewer instead of timing out, and the viewer explains a slow conversion while it runs. A huge STEP file is now converted once, at scan time, for both its thumbnail and the viewer, so the first open is a cache read instead of a two to three minute wait. Files over 64 MB get a thumbnail from a lighter mesh, and a cached STEP model is found again after its file gains a content hash.
Extracting large models.
Dragging a model out of a zip, or saving one with Extract…, held the model in memory twice, once compressed and once inflated. Both now stream the model to disk a chunk at a time: five 225 MB models measured 849 MB of extra memory before and under 75 MB after, and no slower. An extraction interrupted partway can no longer leave a truncated file that later passes for a complete one, a model too large to extract no longer blocks the models behind it in the same archive, and the models of one RAR, 7Z or TAR archive are unpacked in a single pass instead of one read of the whole file per model.
Blank 3D viewer.
If your graphics setup cannot provide WebGL, the viewer says so and offers a retry instead of a blank canvas.
Rhino texture warnings.
Opening a .3dm whose textures live beside the file warned about every texture slot of every material in the document, dozens for a ring that used three. The count now covers only the materials that visible objects use, one entry per distinct file. Those textures still do not render; only the warning changed.
Retry all.
Retry all in Scan issues reports what it rescanned, no longer thrashes the list while it works, survives another folder's scan running at the same time, and resets timeout strikes when an app update retries a file.
Slicer stays open.
A slicer opened from Meshory no longer closes when you quit Meshory.
Companion files.
Selecting a texture or another companion file shows its own details, not the model's sidebar, and the Filaments panel no longer appears on a file you cannot print.
Trash refusals.
When Meshory refuses to move something to Trash, the reason sits in a tooltip you can hover.
Tags.
Backspace no longer removes the wrong tag pill after the list changes, the empty tag panel no longer claims Esc searches plain text, and screen readers hear tag suggestions.
Menu hints.
A hint opens beside its menu entry and wraps at a readable width, and disabled controls explain themselves with the app's own tooltip.
Scroll position.
Changing the library scope keeps your place in the grid.
Large selections in collections.
Adding or removing a very large selection in a collection no longer fails.
First scan count.
A first scan that finishes in a single tick reports the number of files it catalogued.
Folder actions and search.
Some folder operations and semantic search filtering returned wrong results.
Folder trash confirmation.
Confirming the trash of a duplicate folder could run its text past the dialog's edge and across the page behind it, and the file lists repeated the whole path on every line. The lists now read relative to the folder being trashed, and the underlying fix covers every dialog in the app. The library's own folder trash confirm names its leftovers the same way, and with several folders selected each line leads with the folder that holds the file.
