Converting a 3MF between Bambu Studio, Orca, Snapmaker Orca & Creality Print

Convert a Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, Snapmaker Orca or Creality Print 3MF for one of the others, keeping plates, colors, supports and infill. Runs offline.
Opening one slicer's 3MF in another often keeps only the geometry: a multi-plate project lands on one plate, and the supports and infill you set up are gone.
Tools, new in the sidebar, holds the 3MF converter. It takes a project saved by Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, Snapmaker Orca or Creality Print and writes a new 3MF for one of the others. Printer and material settings come from the destination slicer's own profiles, and the print settings you changed in the source project, such as supports, infill and walls, come across. It runs offline, and your original file is never modified. The converter is in beta: check placement and supports in the destination slicer and slice again before you print.
Step by step
- 1Open Tools from the sidebar and choose 3MF converter. Drop a 3MF project onto the page, pick one from disk, or pick one from your library; the library picker shows each project's thumbnail.
- 2Choose the destination: slicer, printer, nozzle and print profile. The print profile starts on one with your project's layer height, or on the printer's default when none matches. Every picker is searchable. The profiles are included with Meshory, so the destination slicer does not have to be installed on this computer.
- 3Match materials. Each color in the source gets a filament from the destination slicer's catalog. One filament for every color is a single choice, and a color the project never uses can be removed from the export. Save turns on the moment every color has a filament.
- 4Save the converted 3MF. By default it lands in the same folder as the original, named after it with the destination slicer added, and a name that is already taken gets a number rather than overwriting anything. Untick Save in the same folder as the original to choose a folder instead. Keep my print settings is on by default; untick it to use the destination print profile as it is. When the file is saved, Open in slicer hands it to the destination slicer.
What changes, and what stays
- Geometry stays intact, and every plate of a multi-plate project lands in the one new file. Painted colors follow the filaments you assigned.
- Printer and material settings come from the profiles you chose.
- Print settings you changed in the source project come across, for the whole project and for single objects or parts. That includes supports with their type and style, infill, walls, top and bottom layers, seams, brims, ironing and printing by object. A value the destination slicer cannot use, or would reset when it opens the project, stays at the destination profile's setting.
- Layer height and speeds come from the destination print profile you pick. Variable layer settings and toolpaths are removed, so the destination slicer slices from scratch.
- Plate placement is kept relative to the bed center, and the converter checks whether each plate fits the destination printer.
Keep my print settings arrives in the release after 1.9.0. Until then the converter uses the destination print profile as it is.
Using the profiles installed with your slicer
Next to the destination picker, Included uses the profile set bundled with Meshory and Installed uses the presets your slicer runs on this computer, your own custom presets included. Meshory looks in the slicer's own folders; if it finds nothing there, Locate profiles folder lets you point it at the slicer's resources/profiles folder. Reading installed profiles never writes to them. When the slicer installed here is older than the included profiles, the converter starts on your installed presets, warns you if you switch to Included, and leaves print settings at the destination profile's values, because an older slicer can reject settings it does not know.
The profile library
Tools also has a Profile library: a read-only view of the printer, filament and process presets installed with your slicers, searchable by printer, material or brand. Convert with these profiles opens the converter on that slicer's installed set. A preset that does not name the printers it applies to is listed but marked as one the converter cannot offer.
The converter never overwrites a file and never edits the project you started from. If a conversion goes wrong, the original is exactly where it was.
